The Australian International Olive Awards for 2022 have released their results to individual entrants. The public release of who won what will be in another week or so, at the annual conference.

The conference looks good, and I thought about going. But its in Tasmania, and I would either have to fly or go by boat. Since Covid I have not done either of those and am unlikely to. So, no conference for me.

We put in two entries into the competition, and received a gold and silver award for them. I am happy with that, although again it wasn't what I expected...the oil I think is best was the silver.

The last few months have been good for the olive oil as a product. We have been picked up by a few more outlets, and our online sales keep ticking along.

In terms of local outlets, I try and focus on the places that have a high-end local produce agenda. People go there for high quality produce, and our oil is a good fit for them.

I was pleased that the fancy new Empire Dining room at the Bright Velo hotel has put our oil and olives on the menu.
